Websphere Portal Developer

Position Description:

Large scale full life cycle transformation program to modernize USCIS agency-wide business processes & systems from a forms-based model to a person-centric model

Primary Job Duties:

  • Identify and execute product integration tasks and work with the architects to make sure product use is consistent with overall program direction/ standards.
  • Development of end-to-end architecture of component-based, service oriented web application framework using J2EE and Websphere Portal Platform and work with Systems engineering group to ensure functional requirements are met.
  • Must have at least 5 years of Web Development with 2 years of JSF experience in Portlet environment.
  • Must have worked with AJAX frameworks, Javascript, and Stylesheets. Experience with open source software such as MyFaces, Spring Security, Spring Webflow is a plus
  • Design, Develop, unit test and troubleshoot JSF Components, Portlets and frameworks, and work with software development organization to ensure functional requirements are met.
  • Integrate with other COTS products, configure, customize, develop, install. trouble shoot and provide operational support

Required experience:

  • JAVA –5 yrs
  • J2EE –5 yrs
  • SOA Architect – 2 years
  • Education: College Degree preferable OR equivalent experience and training.

Job Information:

  • US Citizen,
  • Clearable with DHS,
  • On-site work at 800 K St. NW, DC,
  • Looking for commitment of min 1, ideally 2 years to the project.
  • On-boarding from job offer contingent on USCIS EOD clearance and takes about 6 weeks
