Cyber Security Specialist
PRIMARY FUNCTION
To provide IT Systems Architectural support to the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE NNSA) and provide support to current and future information technology (IT) and telecommunications support for the Office of Secure Transportation (OST).
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong problem solving skills; includes having good situational awareness with team members and Government Customer
- Requires significant experience in NIST 800 series: (30, 37, 53, r2/3)
- FIPS 199, 140-23
- CNSS 1253
- Authentication/Authorization/Audit Processes/Technologies
- SourceFire IDS
- Tennable Scanning
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Experience with the full Cyber Security life cycle
- Excellent communication skills
- Department of Defense (DIACAP, DITSCP)
- Department of Energy (NAPS, 470 Series)
- Strong analytical skills
- Ethical Hacking
- Security +
CLEARANCE:
- Department of Energy “Q” Clearance (preferable) -or- Top Secret SSBI Clearance
