Application Developer
Position Description:
The Senior Documentum developer position involves all aspects of application implementation including analysis, design, construction and implementation of content management services. This role will utilize experience to ensure that any Documentum implementation is performed according to best practices and in the best interests of the client. As a senior developer, this role will also have a focus on design, leadership and mentoring activities
Required Skills:
Knowledge of Documentum application integration approaches Technical knowledge of the Documentum application suite Experience with Documentum APIs (custom applications, TBO/SBO, DFS/DFC, WDK) Knowledge of Documentum performance issues, optimization, as well as performance troubleshooting and tuning techniques Ability to work as part of a large project that implements several third-party products Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to communicate technical concepts in a business-friendly language Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment Documentum 5 years experience Experience with J2EE Experience with Captiva is desired Experience with print applications is desired
Primary Job Duties:
- Design and develop custom Documentum services
- Document all code and changes according to the coding standards Work with Documentum developers to break through roadblocks and solve key issues.
- Work with systems engineering group and software development organization to ensure that functional requirements are met
- Identify and execute product integration tasks and work with the architects to ensure product use is consistent with overall program direction/standards
Required experience:
- JAVA – 5 yrs
- J2EE – 5 yrs
- WebSphere (list type: content mgr, server, developer) – 5 yrs.
Education: College Degree preferable OR equivalent experience and training.
