Promod Sharma is the President and CEO of Criterion Systems, a systems integrator providing innovative, technology-enabled business solutions to government agencies. In 2009, Inc. magazine recognized Criterion Systems as the 10th fastest growing private accompany in the country and the fastest growing government services company.
A serial entrepreneur, Mr. Sharma has enjoyed a successful 32-year career in the information technology industry. He has managed numerous mergers and acquisitions and led high growth IT services companies. Mr. Sharma is skilled at building strong, motivated teams and corporate cultures that achieve exceptional results with very low employee turnover.
Prior to founding Criterion Systems, Mr. Sharma served as president and CEO of CNSI, a government technology services and solutions company. He was responsible for managing growth from $1.2M in 1995 to over $80M in 2004, with a backlog of over $500M and 500 people. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sharma held senior level positions at INET, EDS and Genasys Corporation. He started his career at Coopers & Lyrand as a senior systems auditor for large private and publicly held companies.
He is also the founder and CEO of Abolish Child Trafficking (ACT) Now Inc., a humanitarian initiative that focuses on combating child trafficking in the Washington metropolitan area.
Mr. Sharma obtained a B.S. in Physics with Honors from Delhi University (India) and a M.S. in Finance from the London School of Economics. He is a Certified Chartered Accountant from England.
