Criterion Systems Names Marcie Cheney Director of Marketing
Vienna, VA, July 29, 2009 – Criterion Systems, a leading provider of information technology services to government and commercial clients, today announced that Marcie Cheney has joined the company as director of marketing. In this role, she will lead the corporate marketing function and develop communications strategies to increase market awareness and support the company’s aggressive growth strategy.

Cheney has a solid background in developing and executing marketing communications programs to generate exposure and drive results for both established and start-up companies. She has a decade of experience working with a range of technology companies delivering products and services to both government and commercial markets.
Most recently, Cheney directed media relations and supported integrated marketing programs for Citizant, a small government professional technical solutions company. Previously, as corporate communications manager for HandySoft Global Corporation, she led media and analyst relations activities for the growing provider of Business Process Management (BPM) solutions.
Prior to moving to internal marketing teams, Cheney led account teams and developed communications strategies for business and technology clients at three different communications firms, including Environics Communications, KG Communications and Golin/Harris International.
